Chelsea has wanted to be a lawyer since the age of 12 when she read her first Supreme Court opinion written by the late Justice Scalia. Since then, Chelsea honed the art of making arguments on behalf of herself and one of her three siblings, usually to the amusement of her court reporter father. After high school, Chelsea received a Bachelor’s of English Literature from Indiana University with a certificate in International Studies. Chelsea then went on to attend Paul M. Hebert School of Law at Louisiana State University. Upon graduation, Chelsea clerked for Judge Clayton Davis and now Justice Guy Bradberry at the 14th Judicial District Court in Lake Charles, Louisiana. It was there that Chelsea fell in love with the courtroom and the art of litigation. After the clerkship, Chelsea began working for a small boutique business law firm in Houston. She quickly discovered that she did not enjoy this field, as although it had the litigation aspect, she could not connect with the subject matter. Subsequently, Chelsea sought to represent injured clients, a topic she was passionate about. Chelsea began working for personal injury firm in the Spring Branch area, where she was promoted to litigation supervising attorney. While in that position, Chelsea not only honed her skills as a manager, but also as a litigator. Chelsea then came to Hollingsworth Law Firm, to continue honing those skills, and focus on her passion for premises cases. Chelsea’s favorite part of her job is meeting with clients, to hear their stories and how their injuries have affected their lives. Chelsea believes this interaction is integral to her genuinely describing the clients’ injuries to the Defendant and the jury, facilitating the best outcome for the client.
During her spare time, Chelsea enjoys arguing with her brother, also an LSU Law Alumni, playing with her dogs, reading, traveling with her husband, and trying new foods.
Chelsea ha querido ser abogada desde los 12 años cuando leyó su primera opinión de la Corte Suprema escrita por el fallecido juez Scalia. Desde entonces, Chelsea perfeccionó el arte de presentar argumentos en nombre de ella y de sus tres hermanos, generalmente para diversión de su padre, reportero de la corte. La parte favorita de su trabajo de Chelsea es reunirse con los clientes, escuchar sus historias y cómo sus lesiones han afectado sus vidas. Chelsea cree que esta interacción es parte integral de su descripción genuina de las lesiones de los clientes al acusado y al jurado, facilitando el mejor resultado para el cliente.
Durante su tiempo libre, a Chelsea le gusta discutir con su hermano, también ex alumno de LSU Law, jugar con sus perros, leer, viajar con su esposo y probar nuevas comidas.
